Jack & Betty: Weekend Cat Blogging

y apologies to my usual readers for the interruption today...somehow Jack (left) and Betty (right) found out about Weekend Cat Blogging (founded and hosted by Clare at Eat Stuff) and they've been glowering at me like this and whining ever since about being included at stephencooks.com. They pointed out how helpful they are with the keyboard and doing sniff tests for me and all. I hope this post quiets them down a bit. I explained it's a food site, not a cat site, but they don't go for explanations all that readily.
Jack and Betty came from the Animal Rescue League in Boston in 2001, and we were told they had been together since Jack was a kitten (he's a little less than 2 years younger). They are constantly together. Even so, it takes them at least a day to negotiate the sharing of a new box when it comes into the house. Usually the solution is a system of alternate possession....but this flat box filled with some nice crumpled-up kraft paper packing (it contained a part for the indoor Thermadore grill) was perfect for the you-take-that-end-I'll-take-the-other-one approach. Pretty nice life, huh? You get to hang out all the time with someone you like, sleep rump to rump, eat whenever, get a new box every time Daddy orders something, and never take out the trash.

Aw, they are so cute especially the bum to bum pix of them sharing that box. On behalf of Jack and Betty, I demand for more pixs next weekend!

Hi Stephen, I encourage the temporary deviation from food talk, because those 2 are just so darn cute. Their names are quite adorable too :)

Cute cats. I like the way they're sleeping together. It is a pretty nice life for them. I think they deserve it. ;-)
