Guest Chef Erica Ferencik: Personal Cuisine

Frenchbreadw_type2"Here's the sitch...

...I starve when my husband is away on business....he's been MIA for a few days signing up a deal in...oh well, forgot where he went exactly... I don’t need food, I’m robowoman. I refuse to even open a can Iwon’tIwon’tIwon’t.

Anyhoo, things are getting a bit dire. Time to ask myself: is the celery and cool whip gone? Is the French Bread history? Too wiped out to do the whole "Tuna on Bread" thing?

...so I have Cool Whip and Celery for dinner....

Coolwhip_2Recipe:
Cool Whip and Celery

Buy these things in the store.
Eat them together.

Macncheese2cropped_1
Or Macaroni and Cheese, Right Out of the Box. I don’t cook it. It’s kind of a TV snack, except the powdered cheese does get all over everything. The crunch of raw pasta and strange creaminess of powdered cheese mixed with my own saliva always brings me right out of that "he's supposed to be home by now" funk.

Macaroni2a_4Recipe:
Mac and Cheese "Right From the Box"

A box of macaroni and cheese, also from the store.
Open box, eat contents.

When he comes back I have rickets and my hair is falling out, however my cute pout helps soften the blow of my failing looks. He makes me a chicken pot pie and all is well again. *sigh*

It's been a particularly crazy week so far. Thanks to both of you for putting a smile on my face.

Love the crouton recipe. Have you tried dipping them? Does it work with Old Milwaukee? So many options.

Oh, my god.

I'm both delighted and horrified...is that normal?

I just vomited all over my keyboard. I suppose you'll turn that into your next recipe, somehow. Thanks a lot!

Macoroni and Cheese, right out of the box, that's my favorite sofar.
Erica, the guest blogger rocks!

Hmmm... So many options from which to choose. Where do I start? CoolWhip and celery? I like. I guess I'll start there and work my way down. ;-)

I see the cat got in on some of the action, too!

Yum! A woman after my own heart. Cooking, what the hell is that? See car in driveway, go to Taco Hell!

we live in oregon and we love
erica too! only i've seen a variation on the cool whip and celery recipe where you just buy the cool whip and eat it frozen--"it's like ice cream" said erica to me.
